coin War Oct. 21- Nov .8 Rio RIco Rotary declares a Calling all cheetahs!!!! Families send in your pennies, dimes, nickles, quarters and dollars! Each class will be collecting and counting donations! Proceeds will be added togehter with the other schools in the district to purchase gift certificates from Garret’s IGA for families to use for their thanksgiving meal. 1-2-3-4!!!!!!!

Thank you for Supporting our Teachers, Showing appreciation for their hard work, and making the evening special! Our Cheetah Families are the BEST!

The Fun Run is a one mile run that is hosted by the Rich River Athletics Club. This fantastic and free event takes place at the Rio Rico High School trackTRANSPORTATION TO RRHS WILL NOT BE PROVIDED. FAMILIES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR TRANSPORTING PARTICIPANTS TO THE RRHS TRACK BY 2:30 PM. STUDENTS SHOULD BE DRESSED IN APPROPRIATE ATHLETIC CLOTHING FOR SCHOOL THAT DAY (EX.-SHORTS, LEGGINGS, RUNNING SHOES). PLEASE PROVIDE A BOTTLE OF WATER AND A NUTRITIOUS SNACK (EX.- GRANOLA BAR, FRUIT, PRETZELS). SC STAFF WILL BE SET UP NEXT TO THE TRACK. We strongly encourage you to stay and support your child for their race. You are also invited to participate in the Role Model Mile run/walk. It is important that the students practice at home in order to prepare for this event. The first fun run will be held Friday, October 25th, 2024. It will begin at 3:10 p.m. and will end at 4:45 p.m. Only the students that turned in the permission slip on time will be allowed to participate. Please pick up your child no later than 4:45 p.m. from the Rio Rico High School track that is located next to the football field. You will be required to sign your child out when you leave. Jerseys need to be returned when students get signed out. Parents are invited to come and cheer. Please see the following schedule: 3:10 3rd Grade Boys 3:25 3rd Grade Girls 3:40 4th Grade Boys 3:50 ROLE MODEL MILE (no pre-entry required; no awards) 4:00 4th Grade Girls 4:15 5th Grade Boys 4:30 5th Grade Girls 4:45 DONE—parent pickup (at the RRHS track field)..

Fun Run es una carrera de una milla organizada por el Rich River Athletics Club. Este maravilloso evento gratuito se realiza en campo de atletismo de Rio Rico High School.NO HABRÁ TRANSPORTACIÓN A LA ESCUELA DE RRHS. Para poder participar, un padre/tutor tendrá que llevar a su hijo/a al campo de atletismo de Rio Rico High School a las 2:30 p.m. El personal de la escuela y los participantes van a estar localizados en la pista. Su hijo/a tendrá la oportunidad de participar en la primera carrera divertida. La carrera se llevará a cabo el viernes 25 de octubre de 2024. Comenzará a las 3:10 p.m. y terminará a las 4:45 p.m. Solo los estudiantes que entregaron la hoja de permiso a tiempo podrán participar. En el día del evento, los participantes pueden ir vestidos con ropa deportiva a la escuela. Favor de mandar a su hijo/a con una botella de agua con su nombre y una merienda saludable (granola bar, fruta, pretzels). Le pedimos que se quede y apoye a su hijo/a en su carrera. También está invitado a participar en la carrera/caminata de Role Model Mile. Es importante que los estudiantes practiquen en casa para prepararse para este evento. Se requiere su firma al recoger a su hijo/a. No más tardar de las 4:45 p.m. en el campo de atletismo de la Escuela Secundaria de Río Rico (al lado del campo de fútbol). El jersey debe ser entregado al final de la carrera. Todos los estudiantes recibirán un listón de participación. To celebrate Mexican Independence Day on September 16th, students are invited to wear traditional Mexican attire to school. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to embrace and showcase their cultural heritage. We will also be having a morning ceremony to mark the occasion. Please ensure the attire is school-appropriate and comfortable for a day of learning and celebration. Thank you for your support!

Para celebrar el Día de la Independencia de México el 16 de septiembre, los estudiantes están invitados a usar ropa tradicional mexicana en la escuela. Es una excelente oportunidad para que nuestros estudiantes abracen y muestren su herencia cultural. Además, tendremos una ceremonia por la mañana para conmemorar la ocasión. Por favor, asegúrense de que la ropa sea apropiada para la escuela y cómoda para un día de aprendizaje y celebración. ¡Gracias por su apoyo!

Today the Cheetah Family took a moment to remember and honor the lives lost on 9/11. Our school community came together for a special ceremony, and we were grateful to have local first responders join us - including some who are part of our school families! We shared moments of silence, reflections, and songs to celebrate American spirit and unity. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of community and looking out for one another. Thanks to everyone who made today's ceremony so meaningful 💙💛
