🎉 Big congratulations to Leonardo Ochoa! 🎉
Leonardo Ochoa, a 3rd grader from Calabasas School, has been selected as a winner of the AZ529 Art Contest. Out of 906 entries from K–6 students across 15 counties, Leonardo is one of just 19 winners statewide and the ONLY winner from Santa Cruz County.
Leonardo was recognized at the Arizona State Capitol, where he received $529 toward his college savings and had the opportunity to meet Arizona Sate Treasurer Kimberly Yee.

A big thank you to Missy Favela and our friends from the Nogales Women's Club for also supporting our Read Across America celebration! 📚 Ms. Favela read to our 3rd graders, and the Nogales Women's Club generously donated books to our school. We truly appreciate your support in helping inspire a love of reading in our students! ❤️

Yesterday our students had an incredible opportunity to explore their futures during our Career Fair, and it was a huge success! Students were able to meet with representatives from a variety of careers and organizations, ask questions, and learn about the many paths available to them after school.
We would like to extend a big thank you to all of the agencies and professionals who took the time to participate and share their knowledge, experiences, and encouragement with our students. Your presence made a meaningful impact and helped inspire our Cougars to start thinking about their goals and future careers.
Thank you to our counselors, Mrs. Kemp and Mrs. Bernal, for organizing this event! Experiences like this help our students see what is possible and motivate them to continue working hard toward their dreams!🐾
