Health Office

Students learn best when they are healthy in mind and body. Our district is happy to provide for the health concerns of our students through our nursing services. Each school has a nurse's office, and students may contact the nursing staff as needed. School nurses and health aides will provide for students' needs in accordance with the district policies regarding medications and treatment for illness.

We require our students to be fully immunized according to the requirements for each child's age and grade level. You can find the specific requirements by reviewing the immunization documents posted at the side of this page. If you have additional questions regarding immunizations or any other health-related concerns, please contact our health office at (520) 281-8282, or speak to your child's school nurse.

A school administrator shall ensure that students in preschool, kindergarten, first, second, sixth, and ninth grades have a hearing screening each school year as stated in R9-13-102. Arizona Department of Health Services regulations state that a child in school as defined in A.R.S. 15-101; preschool, kindergarten, charter, and private schools perform hearing screenings between July 1 and the following June 30 of the school year. Should you have questions or would not like your child to get these screenings, please contact Melisa Lunderville, Assistant Superintendent of Student Services, at (520) 375-8289.
