Our School

San Cayetano Elementary is an elementary school in the Santa Cruz Valley Unified School District No. 35. We educate approximately 588 students from kindergarten through 5th grade.

San Cayetano Elementary has received an "A" rating from the Arizona Department of Education, as well as being identified as a Title I "High Performing" and "High Progress School." This achievement reflects the positive, energetic work of our school community of students, parents, teachers, and staff members all pulling together to ensure growth and learning for all children.


Our Mission

The staff at San Cayetano Elementary School, in partnership with families and the community, teaches skills and shares knowledge so that each student will be academically successful. We guide students in discovering their personal strengths and the joy of learning.


Our Terrific Programs

Thanks to the support of our community and teachers who aren’t afraid to roll up their sleeves, we are able to provide our students with top-notch programs and activities. We are proud to offer our students quality programs and activities such as:

Wednesday 7:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. (Early Release)
Thursday 7:30 a.m. – 2:10 p.m.
Friday 7:30 a.m. – 2:10 p.m.

**Not all Wednesdays are Early Release Days. Please refer to our calendar.

**If you need to change after-school transportation arrangements for your child, please call the office:

  • before 1:30 p.m. on M,T,TH, and F
  • before 10:30 a.m. on W.


Absence Policy

If your child is going to be absent, please be sure to call our attendance clerk, Irma Orozco, at (520) 375-8399 to excuse the absence.

If your child is absent for more than 3 days, we will need a doctor’s note to excuse the absences.

It is also important not to pick your child up too early or bring him or her in too late, as this will affect his or her perfect attendance record.
