Free School Meals
Student learn better when they have a nutritious breakfast and lunch. Santa Cruz Valley Unified School District’s food service program provides both breakfast and lunch free of cost to all of our students. Students may bring healthy snacks to eat during provided breaks in class. We serve breakfast from 6:50 a.m. to 7:25 a.m.
Help ensure that your child learns! Please make sure that they attend school daily. We urge you to schedule all appointments after school hours. We do not permit signing out during the last 30 minutes of the school day without principal approval in advance. Please do not sign your child out of school early unless absolutely necessary, since every minute of learning counts!
Please make every effort to have your student on campus before 7:20 a.m. each day to make certain he or she is in class on time when the bell rings at 7:25 a.m. Let's work together to maximize student learning.
District #35 policy requires all K-8 students to wear a school uniform. The guidelines are as follows: uniforms consist of red or navy long or short-sleeved collared shirts or t-shirts with no logos or designs. We allow San Cayetano school spirit shirts as well. Khaki, tan, or navy blue bottoms such as shorts, pants, capris, skorts, jumpers, and skirts are all permissible. We recommend belts or pants with a drawstring or elastic waistband for all.
Please refer to the student handbook for detailed information. Please note that jeans or denim tops or bottoms are not school uniform, and we will only permit them on dress down days. We allow students to wear college or university shirts on Fridays with uniform bottoms.
Thank you for following our dress code guidelines.
