Dress Code Expectations
Santa Cruz Valley Unified School District (SCVUSD) policy requires all k-8 students to wear a school uniform. The uniform will consist of tops that are red, navy, or royal blue, long or short-sleeved polo shirts (with no emblems) or school spirit shirts; khaki or navy bottoms to include shorts or pants for boys and pants, capris, skorts, jumpers, and skirts for girls. We do not allow denim attire, and we recommend belts and tucked shirts all. Shoes and socks of any color are acceptable. All apparel must always adhere to the SCVUSD #35 dress code as explained in Section II: Discipline, Dress, and Appearance.
Free School Meals
Santa Cruz Valley Unified School District’s food service program provides both breakfast and lunch free of cost to all of our students. Students may bring healthy snacks to eat during breaks in class. Breakfast is available from 6:50 to 7:25 a.m.
Daily attendance at school is an extremely important thing you can ensure as a parent to guarantee your child learns. For this reason, we urge you to schedule all appointments after school hours. We do not permit signing out during the last 30 minutes of the school day without principal approval in advance. Please do not sign your child out of school early unless absolutely necessary. Every minute of learning counts! Please make every effort to have your students on campus before 7:20 a.m. each day to make certain they are in class on time when the bell rings at 7:25 a.m.
